Counter-Strike 2 is free to play and runs on a wide range of PCs, but how many FPS you get depends on your graphics card, resolution and settings. Pick your GPU below to see a rough estimate, from low-end cards to current ones.

About your CPU: Counter-Strike 2 depends a lot on the processor, especially at low settings and high FPS. This estimate assumes a CPU that does not hold the graphics card back. With an older or weaker CPU, your real FPS can be lower.
How this estimate is calculated
1. We use the GPU’s PassMark G3D score. As the starting point we use one published measurement: a GeForce GTX 1630 reached about 50 FPS at 1080p on the Very High profile in TechPowerUp’s Counter-Strike 2 review.
2. Your result is that starting point multiplied by (your G3D score / GTX 1630 score). This assumes FPS grows in a straight line with the score. In reality very fast cards can be limited by the CPU, so the estimate can be too high for them.
3. Resolution: we use the pixel ratio to the power of -0.7 (1440p has 1.78x and 4K has 4x the pixels of 1080p). We picked 0.7 so the results fit the review’s statements that 1440p at 60 FPS is reachable with GTX 1060 and RTX 3050 class cards, and 4K at 60 FPS with an RTX 3060 class card.
4. Graphics profile: the review says Low can “easily double or triple” FPS compared with Very High. We use x2.5 for Low. Medium x1.7 and High x1.3 are our own in-between steps, not measured values.
5. The range shown is the estimate plus or minus 25 percent. Some cards can be off by more, because maps, drivers, CPU and game updates all change results.
Formula: FPS = 50 x (your score / 4,984) x resolution factor x profile factor

How this estimate works:
We start from one published measurement: in TechPowerUp’s Counter-Strike 2 review, a GeForce GTX 1630 reached about 50 FPS at 1080p on the Very High profile. We then scale that number using each card’s PassMark G3D score, your resolution and your graphics profile. It is an estimate, and it assumes your CPU does not hold the graphics card back. Read the full steps in “How this estimate is calculated” inside the calculator.
Counter-Strike 2 system requirements:
Valve lists the official minimum and recommended requirements on the Counter-Strike 2 Steam page. In its CS2 review, TechPowerUp found that almost every card it tested (40 GPUs) reached 60 FPS at 1080p with maximum settings. It noted that 4 GB of video memory is the least you should have, and that 6 GB or 8 GB is better for 4K. Check the Steam page for the current official numbers before you buy any hardware.
H2: FAQ
- How accurate is this calculator? It is a rough estimate with a plus or minus 25% range. Real FPS changes with the map, drivers, CPU and game updates.
- Why is there no CPU option? Counter-Strike 2 depends heavily on the processor, but we do not have verified CPU data yet. We prefer not to guess.
- Which graphics profile is best for competitive play? Many players choose a lower profile for higher FPS. Our estimate shows roughly how much more FPS a lower profile can give, based on TechPowerUp’s note that Low can double or triple FPS.
- Is my GPU not in the list? Choose “My GPU is not listed” and enter its PassMark G3D score from videocardbenchmark.net.
